The Syncopators and the Blue Rhythm Band can provide music for any occassion. Groups as small as a trio and as large as the 13 piece Blue Rhythm Band are available to match any budget and venue. To book the band, send an email to booking@syncopators.net with the following information:

• Type of Event
• Event Date
• Event Start and End Time
• Event Location
• Type/rough size of venue (ie. small bar, large dancehall, outdoor, etc)
• Approximate size of band you were thinking of having

Your email will receive a prompt response to let you know if the band is available and with a quote.

*Rates are based on musicians' union scale rates.

Here are a few tips to help you match the music to your event or venue:

• Small bars, parties, etc. should try one of our smaller bands, with no drums, or with adrummer playing with brushes which is much softer.


• Music for dancing should have drums (or washboard) of some kind.


• Music played in large venues will need more sound reenforcement. Make sure the PA for your event is sufficient for a band.


• As a general rule, the more players you hire, the fuller the sound will be.


• Bands of any kind must take a 15 minute break for every hour of playing.


• For wedding services, a small ensemble, 3-4 players is usually best. For wedding receptions (especially if you plan on dancing, a larger ensemble is recommended (5-7 players or the big band).


• If you would like a female vocalist, one may be hired with the band for an additional charge.
